I find myself wanting a BRZ again. Why are there so many cars to buy and why do I have no money?

Small, RWD, manual. Why not get a 128i instead? Reliability? I’ve put 13.5k on my 8 year old N52 powered BMW in 5.5 months.

Because the BRZ is awesome!

The Performance Package BRZ is one of the few cars that I’ve actually considered taking on a new car payment for. I just can’t bring myself to do it though...

Because I’m a man who is dreaming and is in no financial position to buy a new car.
Also, new car warranties are swell.

I have come to the conclusion that the Miata is better long term buy. One of those may be in my future. An ND Club with 4k miles is like $22k.

It seems like a great car to get better at driving stick on, while also being fun. If I had the money and space, I’d get one in a heartbeat.

The BMW is 500lbs heavier, harder to find with a manual, and won’t be as fun or cheap to run at an autox or trackday. The 128i is a better commuter car though and definitely nicer inside. The BRZ has more trunk space and can a bigger backseat too (which is funny, because it only barely has back seats).

Eh. I like Mazda, I don’t care for the Mitata.

I drove my Dad’s 2017 Series.Yellow 3 miles a few weeks back and I have been scheming how to get him to give it to me ever since.

Buy a used white 86. Paint half of it black. Put Japanese stickers on the side. Add sports rims. Go chase down a skyline and start drifting with it during the night. Boom. Profit

My girlfriend already loves Eurobeat, so it should be an easy sell.

How much are 135i going for these days?

She’s a keeper. Marry her for Eurobeat alone.

For me it’s either the BRZ/86, Elise or the new Supra whenever it comes out.

Depends on the year/mileage, but you can get them for under 20k now. Good luck finding a manual though.

That’s the exact BRZ I want.
I took a 20K-mile FR-S Series 10 on a test drive last summer and I’ve been scheming as to how I’m going to get my hands on one since. Though I do get distracted by the occasional MR2 or 4Runner from time to time.

Oh wow cheaper than I thought

It’s such a good looking car in Yellow. It’s just coming out of the break in period now and I am really looking forward to seeing what it can do at autocrosses next year.

Forget used, you can buy a leftover 2016 Club for 22-24k. If you wait a few more months, you can probably get a leftover 2017 for about that much.

I’m waiting for future cheap ones with blown engine/trans problems.
I want to put at least a 2AR 4-cyl rwd setup into one and have a real GT86, powered by straight 4 like our good Toyota Motor Corp intended *shakes fist*.
Or be the anti-car a-hole and put a gen3 prius drivetrain into one.
